충청권 4개 시도가 ‘지역거점 정보보호 클러스터 구축사업’ 공모에 공동으로 참여하기로 했다.
충청권 4개 시도는 9일 세종시 지방자치회관 대회의실에서 이승원 세종시 경제부시장을 단장으로 하는 사업추진단을 발족하고 첫 회의를 열었다.
회의에는 공모 관련 기관인 세종테크노파크, 대전정보문화산업진흥원, 충남테크노파크, 충북과학기술혁신원과 지역 내 정보보호 관련 교수, 전문가, 기업인 등으로 구성된 자문위원이 참여했다.
회의에서 자문위원들은 정보보호 클러스터 사업 추진방안과 충청권 사업 유치전략 등을 집중적으로 논의했다.
‘지역거점 정보보호 클러스터 구축사업’은 수도권에 집중된 정보보호 산업을 지역으로 확산해 사이버 침해 사고를 예방하고 지역 특화 정보보호 산업을 육성하는 것으로
국비 지원은 연간 20억 원이며 2025년부터 2029년까지 최대 5년간 지원받을 수 있다.
충청권 4개 시도는 이 사업에 공동으로 참여해 정보보호 기반을 구축하고 전문인력양성, 기업지원, 전략산업과 융합한 신규 사업모델 발굴 등을 통해 충청권 정보보호 산업 생태계를 조성한다는 계획이다.
충청권은 지리적으로 국토의 중심에 위치해 수도권 집중화 해소와 우수사례 확산이 용이한 입지를 갖춰 지역거점으로 성장 가능성이 높은 것으로 평가된다.
특히 세종시는 정부세종청사와 국책연구단지 입지로 정보보호 산업 육성의 필요성이 높은 지역적 특성을 고려해 지난해 1월 정보보호 산업을 미래전략산업으로 지정하고 역점 육성하고 있다.
시는 이번 공모에 선정되면 지역 내 일자리 창출과 관련 산업 활성화에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대하고 충청권 타 시도와 협업을 통해 준비에 나설 방침이다
