브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 삼성전자는 정부가 시행하는 ‘2025년 저소득층 에너지효율 개선사업’에 냉방 기기 공급 사업자로 선정됐다고 14일 밝혔다.
‘저소득층 에너지효율 개선사업’은 산업통상자원부가 주관하는 복지 사업으로, 기후변화에 취약한 에너지 소외계층을 대상으로 고효율 냉∙난방기 교체 등을 지원한다.
삼성전자는 고효율 에어컨 제품의 우수성과 설치부터 A/S까지 체계적인 사업 수행 경험 역량을 인정받아 2022년부터 4년 연속 냉방 기기 공급 사업자로 선정됐다.
삼성전자는 이달부터 전국 약 226개 기초지방자치단체에서 선정한 1만8000여 가구에 2025년형 벽걸이 에어컨 신제품을 순차적으로 공급한다. 삼성전자가 고효율 에어컨은 공급하는 가구는 2022년부터 올해까지 4년간 누적 6만여 가구다.
삼성전자가 올해 공급하는 에어컨 신제품은 에너지 소비효율 1등급을 갖춰 전기요금 부담을 덜어준다. 또 흐르는 물로 세척할 수 있는 필터를 탑재해 필터 교체 비용 부담도 줄였다.
집 안 구석구석에 강력한 냉기를 빠르고 시원하게 채워주는 ‘패스트 쿨링’ 기능을 갖췄다.
이 외에도 99.9%의 강력한 항균 효과를 가진 ‘항균구리 극세필터’를 탑재했고, 냉방 종료 후 온도를 센싱해 자동으로 청소하는 ‘자동 청소’, 수면 패턴에 맞춰 에어컨 설정을 자동으로 조절해 최적의 온도에서 편안한 수면을 취할 수 있는 ‘열대야 쾌면’ 기능 등을 지원한다.
삼성전자 한국총괄 오치오 부사장은 “기후변화로 인해 폭염이 심화되는 상황에 에너지 취약계층에게 삼성전자의 고효율 에어컨을 공급하게 돼 의미가 크다”며 “삼성전자의 고효율 에어컨이 에너지 취약계층의 여름철 건강과 삶의 질 향상에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
