충남 보령시가 발전소 인근 지역에 거주하는 주민들의 건강 증진을 위해 ‘2025년 발전소 주변지역 주민 건강검진비 지원사업’을 본격 추진한다고 16일 밝혔다.
시에 따르면, 이번 지원은 보령화력발전소 등 대형 발전시설 인근에 거주하는 주민들의 건강을 보호하고 조기 질병 예방을 돕기 위한 취지로 마련됐다.
올해 검진비 지원 대상자는 주민등록상 주포면, 주교면, 오천면, 천북면에 1년 이상 계속 거주한 55세 이상 80세 미만의 홀수년도 출생자 총 3,551명이다. 신청 접수는 오는 12월 24일까지다.
지원 금액은 국민건강보험공단에서 실시하는 국가건강검진 외에 추가로 발생하는 비용에 대해 1인당 연 1회 최대 30만 원까지 지원된다. 검진을 원하는 대상자는 전국 어디서든 의료기관을 자율적으로 선택해 건강검진을 받을 수 있다.
또한 검진 과정에서 시행되는 용종 제거, 조직검사 등 처치에 필요한 비용도 지원 항목에 포함되며, 단순 치료나 수술 등 진료 목적의 비용은 이번 지원 대상에서 제외된다.
건강검진을 완료한 대상자는 검진 후 건강검진 지원 신청서, 검진비 영수증과 진료비 세부내역서 원본, 본인 명의 통장 사본, 주민등록상 주소가 기재된 신분증 사본 등을 준비해 보령시보건소 진료팀 또는 거주지 행정복지센터에 제출하면 된다. 서류가 접수되고 검토가 완료되면, 신청 다음 달 20일 이내에 신청인 지정 계좌로 지원금이 지급된다.
