[브레이크뉴스=박찬호 기자] 한국남동발전이 고용노동부 주관 2024년 공공기관 안전활동 수준 평가에서 강기윤 사장의 안전 최우선 경영리더십 등이 우수성을 인정받아 최고등급인 A등급을 획득했다고 밝혔다.

안전활동 수준 평가는 공공기관의 안전활동을 점검하고 성과를 평가하기 위해 2019년부터 매년 시행되고 있는 정부 평가 제도이다. 올해는 전국 108개 공공기관을 대상으로 안전보건 경영체제, 안전보건 관리, 안전보건활동, 안전보건 성과 등 4개 분야에 대한 평가를 시행했다.

한국남동발전에 따르면 강 사장은 지난해 11월 취임 직후 전사 중대재해 및 안전사고 예방 전략회의를 통해 안전은 선택의 문제가 아닌 기업활동의 기본이라는 CEO의 안전경영 철학을 강조하고, 안전을 경영의 최우선 가치로 삼아 안전한 작업환경 구축을 위해 모든 역량을 집중했다.
