한설 예비역 장군은 “이번 대선에서 한덕수를 지지하든 이재명을 지지하든 결국은 미국의 손바닥위에서 노는 손오공과 같다는 생각이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 우리는 선택을 하지 않을 수 없다. 필자가 언급한바와 같이 한덕수가 권력을 장악하면 대한민국은 구한말의 상황과 비슷하게 흘러갈 것이라는 우려다. 한덕수와 같은 종류의 인간들이 국가를 경영하면 그 결과가 뻔하다. 이미 그런 경향은 윤석열을 통해서 드러난 바가 있다. 한덕수는 윤석열 정권 제2기가 될 것”이라면서 “필자는 이번 대선에서 이재명이 패배하고 한덕수가 승리할 가능성이 높다고 전망하고 있다. 필자의 전망과 예측이 틀리기를 바라지만 앞에서도 언급한 바 와 같이 한국 국내정치에 가장 강력한 영향을 미치는 힘은 분명히 존재한다고 생각하기 때문”이라고 덧붙였다.
