The first winner of the main prize, ‘Jaeyeol ASMR (Choi Jaeyeol)’, is a pioneer in ASMR content, and has consistently produced over 2,000 pieces of content and has continued to communicate emotionally with global viewers. In particular, this award was all the more meaningful as content that had been focused overseas was recognized in his home country, South Korea.
He said in his acceptance speech, “I started out targeting overseas viewers, but I am so touched to receive an award in my home country, South Korea. There were many times when I wanted to give up while creating thousands of contents, but this award is a great gift for those times. I will continue to create healing contents with sincerity.”
The second winner is Vietnamese creator ‘Kem (KEM/NGUYEN THI PHUONG THAO)’. Kem, along with her Korean husband Kim Do-hoon (DoDoHoon), are gaining deep sympathy through international couple contents connecting Korea and Vietnam. His activities, which increase cultural value and contribute to communication between the two countries, are drawing attention as a good example of a global creator.
Kem said, “I am truly grateful and honored to be invited to this place. I will continue to communicate with more people through fun and meaningful contents.”
‘Benny Family’ is loved for its content that warmly depicts everyday life with the pet cat Benny. CEO Kim Kyung-hyun said, “At first, I started because I loved cats, but each and every comment saying, ‘This is healing’ and ‘This is comforting’ gave me great strength. This award is an award that I receive together with everyone who supported our content.”
Mother Park Kwon-hye, who also appeared on stage, said, “It’s really refreshing to see that content created with my child and cat can have a positive impact on so many people.”
‘Snack Girls’ is gaining popularity as a gag and educational content targeting teenagers. Comedian Park Byung-gyu, who is the channel’s CEO and a toe teacher, made the scene burst into laughter with his witty greeting, “I washed up the cleanest I’ve ever washed myself today.”
He continued, “I attended on behalf of the members who are currently appearing on Gag Concert, and I will continue to create content that delivers social messages along with laughter.”
Snack Girls, along with comedians Lee Sang-soo and Park Gong-ju and actress Joo Hyun-jung, received a great response by presenting a complex performance that combined magic performance, comedy situational drama, and educational drama for children.
The last winner, Yoon Su-jin, aka ‘Inonyang’, gained attention after trying various genres of content and going through numerous trials and errors before switching to ‘global drama’ content.
He said, “I tried many things like singing and ASMR, but most of them failed, and when I was about to give up, the new format of ‘global drama’ got me up. You may not know me yet in Korea, but I’m happy to be able to introduce my content to so many people today. I hope this award will be a small hope for other creators who are looking for their way.”
