농협(회장 강호동)은 지난 11일 농협중앙회 본관에서 사회복지공동모금회(회장 김병준)에 산불 피해 복구를 위한 성금 전달식을 가졌다고 밝혔다.
이번 성금은 범농협 전 계열사와 전국 농축협 임직원들의 자율 모금 및 법인별 기부금 등으로 총 30억 원 규모로 조성되었으며, 특별재난지역으로 선포된 경북, 경남 및 울산 지역의 지자체에 전달될 예정이다.
농협은 성금 전달 외에도 산불 피해 복구를 위해 다양한 지원을 하고 있다. 앞서 농협은 무이자 재해자금 2,000억 원을 편성하고, 이재민의 생활 안정을 위해 9억 원 상당의 긴급 구호물품과 2억 원 규모의 의류를 지원한 바 있다. 또한, 농협 임직원 등 약 4,000명의 자원봉사자들이 급식과 세탁 등 현장 지원 활동을 펼치고 있다.
이 외에도 농협은 피해 농업인을 위한 각종 금융 지원과 농작물 피해보상을 위한 보험금 지급에 속도를 내고 있으며, 범농협 임직원을 중심으로 한 복구 인력 지원 등 다방면의 지원 활동을 이어갈 예정이다.

Nonghyup Donates 3 Billion Won for Wildfire Recovery
-Supporting Farmers' Return to Daily Life with Comprehensive Support Including Recovery Fund Donation-
Nonghyup (Chairman Kang Ho-dong) announced that it held a ceremony at the headquarters of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation on the 11th to donate funds to the Korea Community Chest (Chairman Kim Byung-joon) for the recovery of wildfire damage.
The funds, totaling 3 billion won, were raised through voluntary donations from all NH affiliates and employees of agricultural cooperatives nationwide, as well as corporate donations. The funds will be delivered to local governments in Gyeongsangbuk-do, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Ulsan, which have been declared special disaster areas.
In addition to the donation, Nonghyup is providing various support for the recovery from wildfire damage. Previously, Nonghyup allocated 200 billion won in interest-free disaster relief funds and provided 900 million won worth of emergency relief supplies and 200 million won worth of clothing to stabilize the lives of the victims. In addition, approximately 4,000 Nonghyup employees and volunteers are providing on-site support activities such as meals and laundry services.
In addition, Nonghyup is expediting various financial support for affected farmers and the payment of insurance claims for crop damage, and will continue to provide multifaceted support activities, including manpower support centered on Nonghyup employees.
Chairman Kang Ho-dong of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation said, "It is very unfortunate that farmers who have lost their livelihoods due to the wildfires that occurred just before the start of the farming season are in great despair. Nonghyup will spare no effort to provide all possible support to ensure that the victims and farmers can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
