태안군이 관내 동부시장, 서부시장, 안면도수산시장 등 3개 전통시장의 운영 활성화를 위해 ‘시장경영 패키지 사업’과 ‘안전관리 패키지 사업’을 병행 추진한다.
중소벤처기업부 주관 공모에서 연이어 선정된 이번 사업은 올해 전통시장 환경 개선과 고객 유치에 중점을 둔다고 21일 밝혔다.
안전관리 패키지 사업은 최근 산업현장에서 증가하는 안전사고 예방을 위해 마련됐다. 군은 올해 하반기 서부시장과 안면도수산시장에서 노후 전선 정비, 배전반 분리 등 안전 시설 개선에 약 6억 원을 투입할 계획이다. 이를 통해 상인들과 방문객들에게 보다 안전한 쇼핑 환경을 제공한다는 목표다.
시장경영 패키지 사업에는 총 9천만 원이 투입된다. 6월까지 동부시장과 안면도수산시장에서 시장 활성화 행사와 수산물 축제, 인건비 지원 등이 이뤄질 예정이다. 이를 통해 전통시장의 활기를 높이고 지역경제에 활력을 불어넣을 방침이다.
또한 군은 태안사랑상품권 캐시백 행사도 진행 중이다. 3개 전통시장 이용객에게 상품권 사용액의 5%(최대 2만 5천 원)를 모바일 상품권으로 즉시 지급하는 이벤트로, ‘착한가격업소’ 이용자까지 확대해 소비 촉진에 기여하고 있다.
