브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 대법원은 22일 이재명 더불어민주당 대선 경선 후보의 공직선거법 위반 사건을 전원합의체에 회부했다.
22일 법조계에 따르면 대법원은 이날 이 후보의 공직선거법 위반 사건을 대법원 2부에 배당한 이후 곧바로 전원합의체에 회부됐다.
대법원 전원합의체는 사회적으로 중대한 영향을 미치는 사건이나 판례를 변경할 필요가 있을 때 대법원장과 법원행정처장을 제외한 대법관 12명이 모두가 참여해 선고하는 재판이다.
다만 중앙선거관리위원장을 겸직하는 노태악 대법관은 이번 사건을 회피 신청함에 따라 대법원장과 대법관 11명이 해당 사건을 심리하게 될 것으로 보인다.
대법원 전원합의체 심리절차에 관한 내규에 따르면 대법원장은 대법관들의 의견을 들어 전원합의체의 심리를 위한 합의기일을 지정하도록 한다.
한편, 이재명 후보는 지난 20대 대선 과정에서 있었던 방송사 인터뷰와 국정감사 등에서 대장동·백현동 개발사업 관련 의혹에 대해 허위 사실을 공표한 혐의로 재판에 넘겨졌다. 1심은 징역 1년에 집행유예 2년을 선고했다. 반면 2심은 1심을 뒤집고 무죄를 선고했다.

Supreme Court Refers Lee Jae-myung's Public Official Election Act Case to Full Bench

Meanwhile, candidate Lee Jae-myung was brought to trial on charges of publishing false information about suspicions related to the Daejang-dong and Baekhyeon-dong development projects during broadcast interviews and state audits during the 20th presidential election. The first trial sentenced him to one year in prison and two years of probation. On the other hand, the second trial overturned the first trial and declared him not guilty.
