브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 함인경 국민의힘 대변인은 22일 "우리 군 정찰위성 4호기의 성공적 발사로, 대한민국 안보의 눈이 더 밝아졌다"고 발사 성공을 높이 평가했다.
함 대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 "2023년 12월 1호기 발사로 첫 열매를 맺은 ‘425 사업’이 이제 4호기에 이르러 대한민국 안보를 더욱 정밀하고 촘촘하게 만들고 있다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "이번 성과는 단순한 기술적 진전을 넘어, 대한민국이 스스로의 안보를 책임지는 ‘자립형 국방’에 한 걸음 더 다가선 것"이라고 강조했다.
이어 "정찰위성은 국가의 눈이며, 그 눈이 많아질수록 더 자주, 더 정확하게 하늘을 들여다볼 수 있다"며 "이번 4호기 발사로 위성 군집 운용 체계가 한층 강화됐고, 한반도 상공 재방문 주기를 단축해 북한의 도발 징후를 보다 빠르고 정밀하게 식별할 수 있는 역량을 확보하게 됐다"고 설명했다.
그는 또한 "국방부는 올해 마지막 5호기 발사를 통해 북한 주요 표적을 2시간 간격으로 감시·정찰할 수 있는 체계를 구축할 계획"이라며 "평화는 준비된 힘이 지키는 것이며, 그 힘은 기술과 결의, 국민의 신뢰 위에서 완성된다"고 했다.
그러면서 "우리는 흔들림 없는 안보 위에, 더욱 튼튼한 평화를 세워나갈 것"이라고 덧붙였다.
