[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 행정안전부 주관 2024년 지방자치단체 혁신평가에서 지난해에 이어 올해도 ‘우수기관’으로 선정됐다고 23일 밝혔다.
시는 이번 수상의 포상금 100만원 전액을 진주시복지재단에 지정 기탁하며, 지역 내 재난·재해 피해 복구를 위한 뜻깊은 나눔을 실천했다.
이번 지방자치단체 혁신평가는 혁신역량, 현장 중심 소통 등 11개 세부 지표를 기준으로 전국 75개 시 단위를 대상으로 이뤄졌다.
이번 평가에서 진주시는 지역 특색을 살린 창의적인 정책 추진사례를 보면 스마트운송관리지원시스템을 통한 시내버스 운전자 평가 시스템 도입했다.
또 시는 진주시 고추를 활용한 ‘진주 고추 크림치즈 버거’ 출시를 위한 민관 협업, 어린이집 간 협력모델인 공유보육 ‘구슬모음어린이집’ 운영 등이 주목 받았다.
특히 진주시의 고추 크림치즈 버거’ 출시는 진주 고추의 전국적 홍보와 함께 지역 농가의 실질적인 소득 증대에 기여한 사례가 민관 협력 활성화 부문에서 높은 평가를 받았다.
진주시 관계자는 “적은 금액이지만 공직자들의 땀과 노력이 담긴 포상금을 지역사회에 환원해 매우 뜻깊다”며“앞으로도 적극행정을 지속해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
