브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 검찰이 문재인 전 대통령의 '옛 사위 특혜채용' 의혹과 관련해 뇌물 혐의로 불구속 기소했다.
24일 전주지방검찰청에 따르면 문 전 대통령에게 특정범죄 가중처벌 등에 관한 법률 위반(뇌물) 혐의로, 뇌물공여 및 업무상 배임 혐의로 이상직 전 국회의원을 불구속 기소했다.
다만 문 전 대통령의 딸인 문다혜씨와 옛 사위인 서모씨에 대해선 기소유예했다.
문재인 전 대통령은 이상직 전 의원이 실소유하고 있던 타이이스타젯이 서씨를 채용하게 한 뒤, 지난 2018년 8월14일부터 2020년 4월30일까지 급여·이주비 명목으로 594만5632바트(한화 약 2억1700여만원)의 뇌물을 수수하도록 한 혐의다.
검찰은 서씨의 타이이스타젯 취업은 정상적인 채용 절차가 아닌 문 전 대통령 가족 내외의 태국 이주 지원을 위한 부당한 특혜 채용이라고 봤다. 이에 따라 서씨가 받은 급여 등이 문 전 대통령에 대한 뇌물로 인정된다고 설명했다.
또한 문 전 대통령과 이 전 의원 간 직무관련성이 인정되기 때문에 뇌물죄가 성립한다고 봤으며 이 과정에서 다혜씨와 서모씨, 당시 청와대 민정비서관 등이 관여한 사실까지 확인했다.
다만 다혜씨·서모씨의 경우 가족관계 및 뇌물죄의 취지, 문 전 대통령과 이 전 의원만을 기소함으로써 국가형별권 행사 목적 달성이 가능한 점 등을 들어 기소유예 처분했다.
이상직 전 의원의 경우, 서씨를 채용한 뒤 급여와 이주비 명목의 뇌물을 공여한 혐의와 함께 항공업 경력도 없는 서씨를 채용하면서 회사에 손해를 끼쳤다는 혐의를 받고 있다.
두사람의 재판은 서울중앙지법에서 진행될 예정이다.
