당진시(시장 오성환)는 4월 23일 자활기업 ‘주식회사 당진홈클린(당진중앙2로 41-3)’의 개점식을 개최했다고 24일 밝혔다. 당진시는 국민기초생활수급자와 차상위계층 등 일반 노동시장 진입이 어려운 저소득층의 자립을 돕기 위해 다양한 자활사업을 추진하고 있다.
이번에 문을 연 ‘주식회사 당진홈클린’은 건물 위생 관리와 소독 서비스를 제공하는 신규 자활기업으로, 2019년 10월 청소용역 자활사업단으로 시작해 참여자들의 꾸준한 노력 끝에 올해 4월 1일 자활기업으로 성장했다.
박혜영 당진시 사회복지과장은 “자활기업은 참여자들의 자립 의지를 강화하고 안정적인 일자리와 창업 기회를 제공하는 중요한 역할을 하고 있다”며, “앞으로도 저소득층의 자립 기반 마련을 위해 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
