브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 박민영 국민의힘 대변인은 24일 "뇌물죄로 기소된 문재인 전 대통령에 대해 법원의 정의로운 판결을 기대한다"고 밝혔다.
박민영 대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 "전 사위 특혜채용 의혹을 수사 중인 검찰이 이날 문재인 전 대통령과 이상직 전 의원을 각각 뇌물 수수 및 공여 혐의로 기소했다"며 이같이 말했다.
그는 "검찰은 이상직 전 의원이 채용 계획이나 필요가 없었음에도 불구하고 관련 경력과 능력을 갖추지 못한 문 전 대통령의 전 사위 서모 씨를 특혜 채용했으며, 문 전 대통령이 청와대 민정수석실 특별감찰반을 통해 서 씨의 채용 과정과 태국 이주 전반에 관여한 사실도 확인했다고 밝혔다"고 설명했다.
이어 "문 전 대통령이 청와대를 사조직처럼 운영하며 이상직 전 의원과 공모해 전 사위에게 불법적인 특혜를 제공했다는 것"이라며 "부동산 정책 실패로 청년들을 거리로 내몰고, 선심성 고용 정책으로 저질의 단기 일자리만 양산했던 문 전 대통령이 정작 자신의 사위에게는 권력을 남용해 각종 특혜를 제공했다면, 이는 용서받기 어려운 중대한 범죄"라고 비판했다.
박 대변인은 "성역 없는 수사를 통해 권력 범죄의 실체적 진실을 규명하고 책임을 묻고자 한 수사팀의 노력과 용기에 경의를 표한다"며 "법원이 국민 기대에 부응하는 정의로운 판결을 내릴 것으로 기대한다"고 했다.
그러면서 "문 전 대통령과 더불어민주당은 국민의 눈과 귀를 가리는 정치적 주장과 경솔한 대응을 멈추고, 법의 심판을 겸허히 받아들여야 한다"고 덧붙였다.
