브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 호준석 국민의힘 대변인은 24일 "2018년 문재인 정부가 김정은 정권과의 합의로 비무장지대 GP를 철수시킬 당시, 북한 GP의 핵심시설이 남아있는 사실을 알고도 국민과 우방을 속인 것으로 드러났다"고 밝혔다.
호 대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 "현장 검증을 다녀온 군인들에게는 가짜 결론을 담은 보고서에 서명하도록 했고, GP 철수 허가를 받기 위해 DMZ를 관할하는 유엔군사령부에 거짓 보고까지 했다"며 이같이 말했다.
이어 "문재인 정부는 북한이 GP 가운데 최소 1곳에 여전히 무장 병력을 배치했고, 지하시설로 연결된 정황까지 확인하고도 이를 무시한 채 '북한 GP 불능화가 달성됐다'고 발표했다"고 말했다.
또한 "GP 철수로 인한 경계작전의 취약점을 우려한 합동참모본부의 보고는 묵살됐으며, '남측 GP 11곳을 철수해도 경계 작전상 제한이 없다'는 내용의 보고서를 유엔사령관에게 전달했다"며 "결국 김정은 정권을 위해 우방도, 국민도 속인 것"이라고 주장했다.
그는 "최근 감사원은 이러한 감사 결과를 바탕으로 정경두, 서욱 전 국방부 장관 등 6명을 검찰에 수사 의뢰한 것으로 전해졌다"면서 "민주당이 왜 헌정 사상 유례없는 감사원장 탄핵을 그렇게 밀어붙였는지 이제야 이해가 된다. 문재인 정부가 집값 통계를 102번이나 조작해 국민을 기만한 사실도 최근 밝혀졌다"고 지적했다.
호 대변인은 "당시 정부가 공무원들을 노골적으로 협박하고 회유한 행태는 무법천지나 다름없었다"며 "이런 정치세력이 다시 국민을 속이며 정권을 잡으려 하고 있다"고 비판했다.
