경남경찰청, 특별범죄예방활동 강화기간 운영

[브레이크뉴스=박찬호 기자] 경남경찰청은 봄 행락철 도민 안전을 위협하는 범죄와 재난·사고에 대비해 오는 4월 28일부터 6월 8일까지 ‘특별범죄예방활동 강화기간’을 운영한다고 25일 밝혔다.

이에 앞서 지난 23일 경남경찰청 2층 회의실에서는 김성희 경남경찰청장 주재로 관련 부서장이 참석한 가운데 범죄예방 전략회의를 개최했다.

각 지역에서 일제히 치러지고 있는 봄축제와 징검다리 연휴와 최근 연이어 발생한 산불·싱크홀 이어지는 6월 초 실시되는 대통령 선거 등으로 인한 치안수요를 사전에 파악하고, 다중밀집 지역이나 사고 우려 장소 등 취약지에 기동순찰대·교통경찰 등을 집중배치 하여 종합적인 범죄예방 활동을 전개할 예정이다.

특히, 부처님 오신 날을 전후해 사찰주변 범죄예방활동을 강화하고, 화재위험이 있는 꽃불류 사용에 대해서도 안전대책을 점검하는 한편, 지자체와 협의해 과거 싱크홀 등 재난 발생 장소 위주로 순찰을 강화하고, 층간소음 신고에 대해서도 적극적으로 대응할 방침이다.  

김성희 경남경찰청장은 “범죄가 발생하기 전에 미리 예방하고 대응하는 것이 중요한 만큼 관계자들이 총력 대응하여 안정적 치안 질서를 유지해 줄 것”을 당부했다.
