[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시평거종합사회복지관은 진주 남강둔치 평거 야외무대에서 제1회 환경 캠페인 ‘지구의 내일을 부탁해!’를 성황리에 개최했다고 28일 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 ‘함께 누리는 지구, 모두가 꿈꾸는 내일’이라는 슬로건으로 탄소중립 실천과 친환경 생활을 주제로 다양한 체험 프로그램과 캠페인 활동이 펼쳐졌다.
행사장은 탄소중립 체험부스, 에코 골든벨 퀴즈, 에코 플리마켓, 아이스팩 모으기 챌린지 등 20여 개의 부스가 운영됐다.
이번 행사는 한국남동발전 후원으로 민관 협력의 모범적인 사례로 평가 받고 있으며, 복지와 환경이라는 두 축을 연결한 지역 공동체의 실천적 움직임이 돋보인 행사다.
또 행사에는 조규일 진주시장, 백승흥 진주시의회 의장, 이성갑 진주시복지재단 이사장 등과 시민들이 참여해 지역사회가 하나 되어 기후위기에 대응해야 한다는 데 뜻을 모았다.
특히 행사는 주말을 맞아 수많은 시민들이 체험과 놀이를 통해 환경보호에 대한 인식을 높이고, 가족 단위 체험 프로그램으로 참가자들에게 큰 호응을 얻었다.
참가자 김모(9) 군은 “자전거 페달을 밟아 전기를 만들고, 그걸로 주스를 마셨는데 정말 재미있었다”며“지구를 도운 것 같아서 뿌듯해요”라며 밝게 웃었다.
