브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 신동욱 국민의힘 수석대변인은 29일 "이재명의 기재부 해체 발상은 '고양이에게 생선을 맡겨달라'는 격입니다"이라고 꼬집었다.
신 수석대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 "이재명 후보가 눈엣가시 같은 기재부 권한을 약화시키겠다는 ‘사심’을 여과 없이 드러내고 있다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
이어 "연일 기재부에 대한 불신을 드러내며 개편 으름장을 놓고 있다"라며 "국민들은 이 후보가 주장하는 조직 개편이 정부 경쟁력 강화를 위한 것이 아니라, 대통령 권한을 키우려는 데 진짜 목적이 있는 것 아니냐며 강하게 의심하고 있다"고 주장했다.
신 대변인은 "이 후보가 기본소득과 전 국민 지원금 지급 문제에서 재정 건전성을 우선시하는 기재부와 자주 마찰을 빚어왔기 때문"이라며 "당권을 장악한 채 ‘아버지’로 칭송받고, 거대 의석수를 등에 업고 입법권까지 틀어쥔 뒤, 이제는 나라 곳간 열쇠까지 움켜쥐려 한다. 예산마저 마음대로 휘두르겠다는 선포에서 섬뜩함마저 느껴진다"고 비판했다.
신 대변인은 "전문가들은 정부 내 합리적 조정과 협의를 통해 이뤄져야 할 예산 편성 권한을 대통령이 가지게 되면, 견제 기능이 상실돼 포퓰리즘 예산에만 치중할 가능성이 크고, 각 부처가 대통령실 눈치를 보며 예산이 정치화될 수 있다고 지적한다"고 밝혔다.
이어 "예산은 무엇보다 치밀하게 기획하고 깐깐하게 집행돼야 한다"고 덧붙였다.
신 대변인은 "행정, 입법, 사법권도 모자라 대통령실이 예산권까지 가지겠다는 검은 속내를 드러내며 제왕적 대통령 노릇을 하겠다는 이 후보의 모습에서 ‘이래서 이재명은 안 된다’는 말이 나올 수밖에 없다"고 말했다.
끝으로 신 대변인은 "이재명 후보는 자신의 발언이 삼권 분립을 흔드는 반민주적이고 망국적인 발상임을 깨닫고, 기재부 예산권의 대통령실 이관 시도를 당장 멈춰야 한다"고 촉구했다.
