브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이준우 국민의힘 대변인은 30일 북한이 러시아-우크라이나 전쟁에 파병한 사실이 공식 발표한 것과 관련 "이재명 후보와 더불어민주당은 그동안 북한의 불법과 도발에 대해 단 한 번도 명확한 비판을 하지 않았다"고 꼬집었다.
이 대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 "오히려 '김정일·김일성 선대의 노력을 폄훼하지 말라'는 등의 발언으로 북한을 감싸며 자유민주주의를 지키다 희생한 대한민국 호국영령에게 모욕을 주었다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "푸틴 러시아 대통령이 북한 김정은 국무위원장에게 파병에 대한 감사의 뜻을 밝혔다고 알려졌다"면서 "이는 유엔 안보리 결의를 정면으로 위반한 중대한 범죄행위로, 국제사회가 단호히 규탄해야 할 사안"이라고 지적했다.
이어 "그러나 이재명 후보는 오히려 '김정일·김일성 선대의 노력을 폄훼하지 말라'는 등의 발언으로 북한을 감싸며 자유민주주의를 지키다 희생한 대한민국 호국영령에게 모욕을 주었다"라며 "이재명 후보는 과거 북한군 전쟁포로 심문을 위해 정부 관료가 파견된 것에 대해 '고문 기술을 전수하러 가느냐'는 황당한 발언을 하기도 했다"고 비판했다.
이 대변인은 "민주당은 북한 드론이 대통령실 상공을 침범했을 때는 '안보 공백'이라며 정부를 비난하고, 우리 측 드론이 평양에 들어갔을 때는 '북풍 공작'이라며 정부를 공격했다"며, "도대체 어느 나라 정당인지 묻고 싶다. 국익이 우선인지, 북한 이익이 우선인지 분명히 하라"고 촉구했다.
그는 "민주당 정부가 북한의 위장 평화쇼에 기만당해 남북연락사무소와 철도, 고속도로만 파괴됐고, 돌아온 것은 오물풍선뿐이었다"고 비판하며, "북한의 국제법 위반에 침묵하는 것은 안보를 무너뜨리고 국민 생명을 위협하는 반역행위"라고 경고했다.
그러면서 "지금이라도 이 후보와 민주당은 북한 파병 및 북한군 전쟁포로의 한국행에 대해 명확한 입장을 밝히라. 침묵을 계속한다면 국민은 이들을 '국익이 아닌 북한의 이익을 대변하는 세력'으로 기억할 것"이라고 덧붙였다.
