[브레이크뉴스=박찬호 기자] 한국남동발전의 안전 최우선 경영이 올해 진행되는 안전평가에서 잇달아 최고 등급을 달성하며, 강기윤 사장 취임 이후 추진 중인 적극적인 안전활동이 빛을 발하고 있다.
한국남동발전은 30일 발표된 기획재정부 주관의 2024년 공공기관 안전관리등급 심사에서 3년 연속 최고 등급에 해당하는 2등급을 획득했다고 밝혔다. 이로써 남동발전은 안전관리등급 심사에서 3년 연속 최고 등급 달성의 성과를 이어갔다.
안전관리 등급 심사는 공공기관의 안전수준 향상을 통해 사회 전반에 성숙한 안전문화 확산을 목적으로 지난 2020년부터 시행 중이다. 이번 평가에는 작업장과 건설현장 등 위험 작업환경을 가진 72개 공공기관을 대상으로 기관의 안전관리 능력과 활동을 종합적으로 평가했다. 남동발전은 한국남동발전은 강기윤 사장 취임 후 ‘안전은 양보할 수 없는 최우선 가치’라는 경영방침 아래 안전한 작업환경 구축을 위해 모든 역량을 집중해 왔다.
