[브레이크뉴스=박찬호 기자] 김해시는 8일 오전 보훈회관 사거리 일원에서 김해중부경찰서, 한국교통안전봉사회 등 5개 민간단체 회원 50여명과 함께 교통안전캠페인을 진행했다.
이번 캠페인은 제19회 전국장애학생체육대회 및 제54회 전국소년체육대회를 앞두고 선수단과 방문객들의 안전하게 행사장을 방문할 수 있도록 교통흐름 관리와 사고 예방을 목적으로 마련됐다.
전국장애학생체육대회는 5월 13일부터 16일까지, 전국소년체육대회는 24일부터 27일까지 경남 지역 전반에 걸쳐 개최된다. 특히 김해시는 주 개최지로 장애학생체육대회 8개 종목(8개 경기장)과 소년체육대회 9개 종목(12개 경기장)을 진행한다.
캠페인 참가자들은 차량이 자주 지나는 교차로에서 현수막과 어깨띠, 손팻말 등을 이용해 운전자와 시민들에게 교통안전수칙 준수를 독려했으며, 특히 장애인 선수와 관계자들의 원활하고 안전한 이동을 위해 차량 속도를 줄이자는 메시지를 집중적으로 전달했다.
