브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 한덕수 무소속 예비후보는 9일 김문수 국민의힘 대선 후보를 향해 보수 단일화를 거듭 압박했다.
한 후보는 이날 조선일보 유투브에 출연해 "단일화는 관련된 사람들만의 문제가 아니다. 이건 국민들의 엄중한 명령이고 이 명령을 따르지 않는 것은 곧 국민에 대한 배신으로서 국민들에게 각인이 될 것"이라고 밝혔다.
그는 '국민들이 단일화 논란에 피곤함을 느끼고 있다'는 질문에 "당연히 느끼기 시작할 것이라고 본다. 단일화 같은 정치적 논쟁은 (논쟁)하는 사람들한테만 재밌다"고 강조했다.
이어 "김문수 후보는 지난달 19일부터 지난 6일까지 22번을 '국민의힘 후보가 되면 한덕수와 단일화 하겠다'고 말했고, 저는 그걸 믿었다"면서 김 후보가 강제 단일화에 응하지 않겠다는 입장을 밝힌데 대해서도 비판의 날을 세웠다.
한덕수 후보는 "저는 이번 주 일요일(11일)까지도 희망을 버리지 않겠다. 왜냐하면 우리가 지금 대선 후보로 나가려고 하는 기본적인 취지와 목적은 너무나 분명하기 때문"이라면서도 "오늘 내일 중에 결정을 하셔야 한다고 했는데, 무소속 후보에게 돈과 후보 번호 2번을 못 쓰는 그런 것을 18일 동안 연구했나. 제가 존경하던 김 후보는 아니란 생각이 든다"고 지적했다.
