충남 당진시가 국토교통부와 산업통상자원부가 공동 주관하는 ‘2026년 노후거점산업단지 경쟁력강화사업지구’ 공모사업에 아산부곡국가산업단지(송악읍 부곡리)를 대상으로 선정되었다고 12일 밝혔다.
이번 선정으로 당진시는 총사업비 6,740억 원 규모의 대규모 산업단지 혁신 프로젝트를 추진하게 된다.
당진시는 아산부곡국가산단을 중심으로 아산국가산단 고대지구, 석문국가산단, 당진1철강일반산업단지, 그린모빌리티 복합물류단지를 연계하여 미래·친환경 혁신성장 허브산단으로 조성할 계획이다.
이를 위해 그린철강·미래모빌리티 전환 및 탄소중립을 위한 수소경제 허브 구축 ,디지털 전환(DX·Digital Transformation) 기반 제조혁신을 통한 주력산업 생태계 고도화 및 글로벌 시장진출 촉진 ,사람이 중심인 완성형 행복 안전 산단 조성 기반 견고화 등 3대 중점분야와 ,그린철강 스마트 제조 인프라 구축 ,스마트에너지 플랫폼 구축 등 33개 세부사업 계획을 제안했다.
오성환 당진시장은 “이번 아산부곡국가산단이 노후거점산단 경쟁력강화사업 대상지로 선정됨에 따라 당진시가 철강산업의 미래 경쟁력을 확보하고, 친환경 산업도시로 도약하는 새로운 전환점이 될 것”이라며 “지역 경제 발전을 견인할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 올해 하반기까지 국토부·산업부 등 관계부처 컨설팅을 통해 사업계획을 보완하고, 2026년 초 노후거점산단 경쟁력강화사업지구로 확정·고시되면 본격적으로 추진될 예정이다.
