11일(현지시간) AP통신, 신화통신 보도에 따르면 미국은 현재 145%인 대중국 관세를 90일간 30%로 인하한다고 발표했다.
마찬가지로 중국 역시 미국 상품에 대해 125%인 관세를 향후 90일간 10%로 낮추기로 결정했다.
양국은 지난 주말 스위스 제네바에서 고위급 무역 협상을 가진 뒤, 나란히 115%씩 인하하는데 합의한 것이다.
양국은 "양자 무역 관계가 세계 경제에 갖는 중요성에 공감대를 이뤘다"며 관세 인하 배경을 설명했다.
