충남 서산시는 새로운 시청사 건립을 위한 설계공모의 시작을 알리며 지난 13일 서산시 문화회관 소공연장에서 현장설명회를 개최했다.
이번 설명회는 시청사 건립사업의 주요 설계 공모 지침을 상세히 안내하고자 마련되었으며, 공모 참여 의사를 밝힌 설계업체 관계자 30여 명이 참석해 높은 관심을 보였다.
시는 이날 설명회에서 단계별 사업 추진 계획 ,주변 자연환경 및 도시 스카이라인과의 조화 ,인근 시설물과의 유기적인 연계 등 시청사 설계의 핵심 지침을 참석자들에게 설명했다.
참석한 설계업체들은 배포된 공모 내용과 지침을 면밀히 숙지한 후, 실제 현장을 둘러보며 서산시의 특성과 요구사항에 최적화된 혁신적인 설계안 구상을 위한 준비에 착수했다.
설계 공모 작품 제출 마감일은 7월 29일까지이며, 시는 접수된 작품들에 대해 전문적인 기술 심사와 본심사를 거쳐 8월 26일에 최종 당선작을 발표할 예정이다.
당선작으로 선정된 업체에게는 시청사 건립의 기본 및 실시 설계권이 부여되며, 입상작에는 소정의 보상금이 차등 지급된다.
이경수 서산시 회계과장은 “현장설명회에 참여해주신 설계업체 관계자 여러분께 감사드린다”며 “새롭게 건립될 시청사가 서산을 대표하는 랜드마크 건축물이 될 수 있도록 창의적이고 우수한 설계안을 제안해주시기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
