화순군 관계자 ‘거창군’ 방문 환영

[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자]  거창군은 지난 2월, 대한민국 최초의 ‘3대 청년친화도시’로 지정된 이후 전국 여러 지자체로부터 벤치마킹 문의가 이어지고 있는 가운데, 지난 14일 자매결연도시인 전라남도 화순군에서 청년정책 견학을 위해 거창군을 방문했다.

이번 화순군 방문은 청년문화거점공간인 ‘거창청년사이’에서 진행됐으며, 화순군 인구청년정책과 과장을 비롯한 20여 명의 관계자를 대상으로 청년친화도시 거창의 우수 사례와 정책 추진 노하우를 공유하는 시간을 가졌다. 

이어 청년몰 ‘거창in140’과 국가정원 지정 등록을 추진 중인 경상남도 제1호 지방정원 ‘거창 창포원’을 둘러보며 일정을 마무리했다.

‘청년친화도시’는 청년의 참여를 바탕으로, 청년 발전 및 역량 강화를 도모하며, 청년 삶의 질 향상을 위한 지역을 조성하고 타 지자체로 확산을 유도하기 위한 제도다. 2023년 9월「청년기본법」개정을 통해 법제화됐으며, 올해 처음으로 전국 3개 지자체가 지정됐다.
