브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 대법원은 16일 지귀연 서울중앙지법 부장판사의 룸살롱 술접대 의혹과 관련 "사실관계를 확인 중"이라고 밝혔다.
대법원 윤리감사관실은 이날 입장문을 통해 "해당 판사에 대한 의혹이 제기된 이후 국회 자료, 언론 보도 등을 통해 가능한 방법을 모두 검토해 사실관계를 확인하고 있음을 알려드린다"고 공지했다.
이어 "향후 구체적인 비위사실이 확인될 경우 관련 법령에 따라 절차를 진행할 예정"이라고 전했다.
앞서 지귀연 판사의 술접대 의혹은 지난 14일 김용민 더불어민주당 의원이 국회 법제사법위원회에서 열린 조희대 대법원장 등에 대한 대선 개입 의혹 진상 규명 청문회에서 최초 폭로했다.
이에 당시 청문회에 출석한 천대엽 법원행정처장은 "이 이야기는 금시초문"이라며 "자료를 주면, 윤리감사실에서 그 부분에 대해 절차를 검토해보겠다"고 답했다.
서울중앙지법에서는 전날 공지를 통해 "해당 의혹 제기의 내용이 추상적일 뿐만 아니라 구체적인 자료가 제시된 바 없고 그로 인해 의혹의 진위 여부가 확인되지도 않았다"면서 "이와 관련해 입장을 밝힐만한 내용은 없다"고 일축했다.
한편 지귀연 부장판사는 내란 우두머리 혐의 등을 받는 윤석열 전 대통령을 비롯해 12·3 비상계엄 관련자들의 재판을 심리하는 '내란 전담' 재판부인 서울중앙지법 형사합의25부를 이끌고 있다.
