세종시교육청이 오는 24일부터 27일까지 열리는 제54회 전국소년체육대회에 총 314명의 학생선수가 참가한다.
시 교육청은 21일 세종시 대표로 검도, 태권도, 테니스 등 21개 종목, 314명의 학생선수들이 출전해 준비한 기량을 열심히 펼칠 예정이라고 밝혔다.
이는 지난해 제53회 전국소년체육대회보다 세종시 선수단 참가 종목과 출전 인원이 증가한 수치다.
앞서 세종시체육회는 지난 3월 22일부터 30일까지 제54회 전국소년체육대회에 세종시를 대표해 출전할 선수를 선정했다.
세종시교육청은 세종시를 대표해 출전하는 선수들에게 훈련비와 단복비를 지원했으며 대회 기간동안 경기장을 방문해 세종시 소속으로 출전하는 모든 학생 선수들에게 사기진작을 위한 현장 격려도 실시할 예정이다.
한편, 사전 경기로 치뤄진 육상 종목에선 여 15세 이하부 400m 세종중 소속 임지수 은메달 ,여 15세 이하부 4X100MR 세종중 소속 조아형, 이다예, 김도연, 임지수, 진윤서 은메달 ,남 12세 이하부 높이뛰기 여율초 정태율 선수가 동메달을 차지했다.
