충청남도 서산시가 오는 29일, 제31회 충청남도장애인체육대회 개회식 현장에서 시민들을 위한 특별한 체험의 장을 마련한다.
이 체험관은 국민건강보험공단 건강보험고령친화연구센터와의 협력을 통해 기획되었으며, 대회 개회식이 진행되는 29일 오후 1시부터 저녁 6시까지 운영될 예정이다.
이번 체험관은 거동이 불편하거나 신체적 제약이 있는 장애인 및 고령자분들의 일상생활 편의를 증진하고 삶의 질을 향상시키는 것을 주된 목적으로 진행된다.
평소 접하기 어려웠던 최신 복지용구와 고령 친화 용품들을 직접 보고 만져보며 자신에게 필요한 용품을 이해하고 선택하는 데 실질적인 도움을 주고자 마련되었다.
서산시는 이번 체험관 운영을 위해 5톤 규모의 특장 차량을 활용한다. 이 차량 내부에는 전동침대, 다양한 종류의 휠체어, 지팡이 등 실생활에 유용하게 사용될 수 있는 70여 종에 달하는 다양한 복지 용구들이 전시되어 방문객들이 직접 사용해 볼 수 있다. 특히, 미래 돌봄 기술로 주목받는 돌봄 로봇도 체험할 수 있도록 준비하여 흥미를 더할 예정이다.
체험과 더불어, 개인의 신체 상태나 거주 환경에 가장 적합한 복지 용구를 선택하고 올바르게 사용하는 방법에 대한 전문적인 상담 서비스도 제공된다. 이를 통해 참여자들은 자신에게 맞는 용품을 보다 정확하게 파악하고 효과적으로 활용하는 데 필요한 정보를 얻을 수 있다.
