Warm Change Forged by Collaboration: Breathing New Life into 9 Centers
The donation ceremony took place at the Seoul City Hall, attended by key officials including Kim Tae-gyun, First Vice Mayor of Seoul Metropolitan Government, Kim Hyun-hoon, President of the Seoul Council on Social Welfare, and Lee Young-jong, CEO of Shinhan Life. This 'Accompanying the Vulnerable' project, a joint effort by Shinhan Life, the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and the Seoul Council on Social Welfare, focuses on helping children from low-income families live and grow in a safer and more pleasant environment.
In particular, this support plans to comprehensively improve 9 relatively dilapidated local children's centers that serve after-school care functions in the region. The plan includes extensive upgrades to facilities and learning environments, such as insulation and window installations, LED lighting, and learning equipment support, to help children foster their dreams in better spaces.
Kim Tae-gyun, First Vice Mayor of Seoul, expressed his "deep gratitude for the efforts and dedication of Shinhan Life and the Seoul Council on Social Welfare for participating in improving children's care environments." He added that "the Seoul Metropolitan Government will continue to do its best to promote policies that realize the value of 'accompanying the vulnerable.'"
Lee Young-jong, CEO of Shinhan Life, also stated, "Overcoming the low birth rate crisis and alleviating the burden of care and parenting are our collective tasks for a sustainable future."
