당진시, 제31회 충청남도장애인체육대회 선수단 결단식

충남 당진시가 29일부터 31일까지 서산시 일원에서 개최되는 제31회 충청남도장애인체육대회 출전을 앞두고, 지난 28일 송악농협에서 당진시 선수단 결단식을 성황리에 개최했다고 29일 밝혔다. 

이번 결단식은 대회에 참가하는 선수들을 격려하고 그동안의 노력을 치하하며, 대회에서의 선전을 다짐하는 자리로 마련되었다.

이날 결단식에는 당진시장애인체육회장인 오성환 당진시장을 비롯해 김윤각 당진시장애인체육회 수석 부회장, 그리고 당진시장애인체육회 임원진과 대회에 출전하는 선수 및 보호자 등 약 300여 명의 관계자가 한자리에 모였다. 

참석자들은 대회 출전을 위해 구슬땀을 흘려온 선수들에게 뜨거운 박수와 격려를 보내며, 좋은 성과를 거두기를 응원했다. 선수단 역시 결단식을 통해 당진시를 대표한다는 자부심을 갖고 대회에 임하는 굳은 각오와 필승의 의지를 새롭게 다졌다.

오성환 당진시장은 격려사를 통해 "이른 더위 속에서도 훈련에 매진하며 이번 대회를 철저히 준비해온 선수단의 열정과 노고에 깊이 감사드린다"며, "대회에서 그동안 갈고 닦은 실력을 마음껏 발휘하여 좋은 성과를 거두는 것도 중요하지만, 무엇보다 스포츠를 통해 서로 교류하고 화합하는 축제의 장을 마음껏 즐기시길 바란다"고 당부했다. 

아울러 "모든 선수가 건강하게 대회를 잘 마무리하고 돌아오기를 진심으로 기대한다"고 말하며 선수들에게 용기를 북돋아 주었다.

제31회 충청남도장애인체육대회에 당진시는 선수 365명과 임원 및 보호자 99명을 포함하여 총 464명의 대규모 선수단이 참가한다.
