펜타힐 메디컬 그룹은 김여주 이사장이 지난 27일 제주 서귀포시 제주신화월드 랜딩볼룸에서 열린 '2025 미스제주 선발대회'에서 축사를 했다고 29일 밝혔다.
펜타힐 메디컬그룹 김여주 이사장은 메디컬에 기반한 헬스케어 전문가로 의료관광과 줄기세포 분야 전문가로 활동하고 있다.
또한 한국여성중앙총연합회 의료봉사단장으로 사회봉사를 하는 등 다양한 봉사활동을 통해 사회적 역할을 수행하고 있다.
김 이사장은 K-뷰티 분야의 전문가로서 TOP모델 선발대회 심사위원을 맡는 등 미용분야에서도 영향력 있는 리더로 활동하고 있다.
이번 미스제주 선발대회는 글로벌이앤비(GLOBAL E&B)가 주최했으며, 오는 8월 개최될 제69회 미스코리아 본선대회의 제주지역 예선으로 열렸다.

이날 미스제주 '진'(眞)의 영예는 국민대 음악학부 성악전공에 재학 중인 함지윤(23)양에게 돌아갔다.
'선'(善)에는 이화여대 문헌정보학과를 졸업한 조윤서(24)양이, '미'(美)는 경인교육대 초등교육과 미술심화전공 휴학 중인 김시흔(26)양이 선정됐다.
본선 진출 특별상인 와일드카드는 이화여대 교육대학원 상담심리전공에 재학 중인 이연재(25)양과 이화여대 교육대학원 미술교육전공에 재학 중인 강지선(24)양 등 2명이 수상했다.
이연재양은 이날 신화월드상도 동시에 수상했다.
이들은 오는 8월 5일 서울 강남구 코엑스 오디토리움에서 열리는 '2025 미스코리아 선발대회'에 제주지역 대표로 출전한다.
또한 이날 △탤런트상 은서연(22)양 △베스트드레서상 정재은(23)양 △포토제닉상 고민지(24)양 △엔터테이너상 정하연(23)양 △김만덕 제주여성상 백소연(25)양 △제주특별자치도상 오은율(24)양이 각각 수상했다.
김여주 이사장은 축사에서 "제주의 삼다(三多)는 바람, 돌, 여자가 많다는 뜻인데 바람은 인내를, 돌은 흔들림 없는 의지를, 여성은 그 모든 것을 온전히 품어낸 존재임을 상징하는 말"이라고 재해석했다.

김 이사장은 "제주의 여성이 바람과 파도를 견뎌온 돌담처럼 단단하고, 깊고 맑은 해녀의 눈빛처럼 진실하며, 유채꽃처럼 생기 넘치는 삶의 기운을 지닌 '아름다움의 주체'"라고 강조했다.
그는 끝으로 "오늘 눈이 부시게 보여주신 참가자들의 아름다움은 누군가에게 미래의 영감이자 제주의 자랑이 될 것"이라는 행운과 희망의 메시지를 전했다.
