일념장학회 박연이 이사, 동국대 WISE캠퍼스에 1억 원 기부

박 이사는 이번 기부 이전에도 약 3,900만 원의 발전기금을 꾸준히 기탁하며, 오랜 기간 학교와 학생들에 대한 깊은 관심과 애정을 실천해 왔다. 이번 기부로 박 이사의 누적 기부액은 약 1억 3,900만 원에 달한다.

박 이사는 기부 소감을 통해 “동국대 학생들이 앞으로도 부처님의 가르침을 부지런히 배우고, 늘 바르게 살아가길 바란다”는 따뜻한 당부의 말을 전하며, 학생들의 성장과 행복을 기원했다.

이에 대해 류완하 총장은 “박연이 이사님의 고귀한 뜻을 학생들에게 잘 전달하고, 소중한 정재가 학생들이 좋은 환경에서 공부할 수 있도록 최대한 의미 있게 사용되도록 하겠다”며 깊은 감사를 전했다.

한편, 박 이사는 이날 저녁 류 총장과 함께 WISE캠퍼스 대표 축제인 ‘임석대동제’에 참석해 학생들과 교류하며 행복한 시간을 보냈다.

동국대 WISE캠퍼스는 앞으로도 기부자와의 동행을 통해 더 나은 교육 환경과 인재 양성의 터전을 마련해 나갈 계획이다.
