예산군, 혹서기 대비 저소득층 폭염 안전망 가동

충남 예산군이 올여름 평년보다 높은 기온이 예상됨에 따라 폭염에 취약한 저소득층 보호를 위한 선제적 대응에 나선다. 

군은 ‘2025년 혹서기 대비 저소득 취약계층 안전관리계획’을 수립하고, 6월 1일부터 9월 30일까지 약 4개월간 집중 점검과 지원에 돌입한다고 29일 밝혔다.

이번 대책은 기초생활수급자, 차상위계층 중 거동이 불편한 가구를 비롯해 독거노인, 중증장애인 가정, 1인 고립가구 등 사회적 보호가 시급한 계층을 대상으로 폭염 피해를 최소화하는 데 초점을 맞췄다.

군은 해당 기간 동안 복지 담당 공무원이 직접 가정을 방문해 주거 및 생활환경을 종합 점검할 계획이다. 

방문 시 확인 사항은 '에어컨 등 냉방기기 보유 여부와 작동 상태', '지붕 누수나 단열 문제 등 주거 안전성', '만성질환 유무와 질병 등 건강 상태', '응급상황 시 비상연락망 체계', '결식 우려 여부' 등이다. 이를 통해 단순한 물리적 보호를 넘어, 복지 사각지대 해소를 위한 입체적 점검을 강화한다는 방침이다.

폭염 대응의 핵심 중 하나는 냉방기기 지원이다. 군은 2022년부터 매년 에어컨 보급 사업을 꾸준히 이어오고 있으며, 현재까지 총 47가구에 냉방기를 지원했다. 올해는 22가구에 냉방기기를 설치하며, 필요 가정에 대한 지원을 더욱 확대할 계획이다.
