임채성 세종시의회 의장은 제21대 대통령 선거 사전투표 첫날인 29일 사전투표소를 찾아 소중한 한 표를 행사했다.
임 의장은 이날 오후 2시 종촌동 행복누림터 지하 2층 체육관에 마련된 사전투표소를 방문해 투표에 참여했다.
임 의장은 “투표는 시민의 소중한 권리이자 동시에 의무”라고 강조하며, “세종시민은 그동안 선거에서 높은 투표율로 민주주의 가치를 꽃 피워왔다”라고 말했다.
이어 “민주주의를 실현하는 가장 기본적이고 효과적인 방법이 투표인만큼 소중한 권리를 반드시 행사해 줄 것”을 당부했다.
한편, 제21대 대통령 선거의 사전투표는 29일부터 30일까지 이틀간 진행된다. 유권자는 주민등록증, 운전면허증, 여권 등 신분증을 지참하고, 전국 어느 사전투표소에서든 오전 6시부터 오후 6시까지 투표할 수 있다.
