충남 금산군이 관내 저소득층 주민들의 자격증 취득을 장려하기 위해 ‘자격증 취득 성공수당 지원 사업’을 본격 시행한다.
이번 사업은 경제적 어려움으로 자격증 준비에 부담을 느끼는 주민들에게 실질적인 도움을 주고, 취업과 자립을 뒷받침하기 위한 차원에서 마련됐다.
지원 대상은 신청일 기준 만 18세 이상인 기초생활수급자와 차상위계층 주민으로, 금산군에 주소를 둔 경우에 한해 신청이 가능하다. 성공수당은 1인당 1회에 한해 30만 원이 지급되며, 일정 기준을 충족하는 자격증을 취득한 후 신청할 수 있다.
수당 지급 대상 자격증은 '국가기술자격증, 국가전문자격증, 국가공인민간자격증'으로 규정되어 있다. 해당 자격증을 취득한 주민은 가까운 읍·면 행정복지센터에 방문해 신청서를 접수하면, 자격 요건 심사를 거쳐 수당이 지급된다.
군 관계자는 “성공수당 지원이 저소득층의 취업·자립을 위한 기반을 마련하는 데 좋은 동기가 됐으면 좋겠다”며 “앞으로도 다양한 계층을 위한 자격 지원 정책을 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
금산군은 이번 사업이 저소득층 주민들이 자격증 취득에 대한 부담을 줄이고, 보다 주체적으로 사회에 진입할 수 있는 기회를 확대하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
