대회는 △초등부 △중·고등부(여) △중등부(남) △일반부(남·여) △단체전 등으로 구성됐으며, 총 8개 클럽에서 200여 명의 선수가 출전해 기량을 겨뤘다.
특히 시 검도 직장운동경기부 소속 선수 8명이 심판으로 참여해 경기의 공정성과 운영의 전문성을 높였다.
