브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국민의힘 중앙선대위 신동욱 대변인단장은 2일 이재명 더불어민주당 대선 후보가 사실상 사법농단을 자백했다면서 "법치 위에 군림하려는 대선 후보를 그대로 두고 본다면 대한민국의 내일은 없다"고 강도높게 비판했다.
신 대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 "이재명 후보가 스스로 입을 열었다. 자신의 선거법 유죄 취지 파기환송을 두고 '대법원 쪽에서 소통은 일부 있지 않나. 사람이 사는 세상이기에 없을 수가 없다', '제가 들은 바로는 빨리 정리해주자, 빨리 기각해주자, 깔끔하게'라고 말했다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "이는 매우 충격적이다. 사실이라면 사법부와의 내통을 자백한 것"이라며 "선거법 재판에 외압을 시도했거나 적어도 관여하려 한 정황을 본인이 실토한 것"이라고 주장했다.
이어 "재판이 내려지기도 전에 대선 후보가 '기각 얘기 들었다'고 말하는 상황을 어떻게 받아들여야 하느냐"며 "대한민국 사법시스템이 이재명 후보에게만 예외가 되는 것이냐"고 지적했다.
신 대변인은 "도대체 누구와 연락했고, 어떤 경로로 들었으며, 그 과정에서 어떤 영향력을 행사했는지 분명히 밝혀야 한다"면서 "국민을 충격에 빠뜨린 것은 유죄 판결이 아니라, 이재명 후보의 ‘사법농단 자백’이다. 사법부를 자기 발끝 아래쯤으로 여기는 듯한 인식 앞에 대한민국의 법치주의가 조롱당하고 있다"고 꼬집었다.
특히 그는 "이재명 후보의 입에서 ‘대법원과의 소통’이라는 말이 나왔다는 사실 하나만으로도, 이런 사람이 대통령이 된다면 앞으로 무슨 일이 벌어질지 상상조차 두렵다"고 우려하며 "국민은 결코 이 상황을 좌시할 수 없다. 법치 위에 군림하려는 대선 후보를 그대로 두고 본다면 대한민국의 내일은 없다"고 말했다.
그러면서 "이재명 후보는 즉각 ‘소통’ 발언의 실체를 공개하고 후보직에서 사퇴해야 한다"며, "위대한 대한민국이 더 이상 이재명 한 사람에게 흔들려서는 안 된다"고 덧붙였다.
