【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국원자력환경공단(이사장 조성돈)은 포항고용노동지청(지청장 신동술)과 함께 지난 4~5일 양일간 경북 영덕군에서 노사정 워크숍과 진달래 묘목심기 자원봉사 활동을 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 워크숍은 공단의 노사협력 강화와 안전문화 증진을 위한 연례 행사로, 특히 올해는 3월 대형 산불 피해와 관광객 감소로 어려움을 겪고 있는 영덕 지역의 경제 활성화에 기여하고자 영덕군에서 개최됐다.
워크숍에는 공단 노사 관계자와 포항고용노동지청이 함께 참여했으며, 노사협력과 안전문화를 주제로 한 분임 토의, 노동지청의 특강, 분임 결과를 활용한 주요 이슈 해결 및 협력방안 도출 등 실질적인 논의가 이뤄졌다.
둘째 날인 5일에는 산불 피해를 입은 영덕 별파랑공원 조각공원에서 ‘진달래 묘목심기 자원봉사’ 활동도 함께 진행됐다. 참가자들은 1인당 3주씩 진달래 묘목을 심으며, 자연 회복과 지역 재생에 대한 실천적 의지를 드러냈다.
조성돈 한국원자력환경공단 이사장은 “이번 워크숍이 노사정 협력 강화는 물론, 산불 피해로 어려움을 겪고 있는 영덕군 지역사회에 작지만 의미 있는 도움이 되기를 바란다”고 전했다.

Korea Radioactive Waste Agency Holds Labor-Management Workshop and Azalea Tree Planting Volunteer Work in Yeongdeok
Korea Radioactive Waste Agency (Chairman Cho Seong-don) announced that it held a labor-management workshop and azalea tree planting volunteer work in Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk on the 4th and 5th together with Pohang Employment and Labor Office (Director Shin Dong-sul).
This workshop is an annual event to strengthen labor-management cooperation and promote safety culture at the agency, and this year, it was held in Yeongdeok-gun to contribute to the economic revitalization of Yeongdeok, which is suffering from damage from a large-scale forest fire in March and a decrease in tourists.
The workshop was attended by labor-management officials from the agency and Pohang Employment and Labor Office, and substantive discussions were held, including a division discussion on labor-management cooperation and safety culture, a special lecture by the labor office, and resolution of major issues and derivation of cooperation measures using the division results.
On the second day, the 5th, the ‘Azalea Tree Planting Volunteer’ activity was also held at the Yeongdeok Byeolparang Park Sculpture Park, which was damaged by the forest fire. Each participant planted three azalea tree seedlings, demonstrating their practical will for natural recovery and regional regeneration.
Cho Seong-don, Chairman of the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency, said, “I hope that this workshop will not only strengthen labor-management-government cooperation, but also provide small but meaningful help to the Yeongdeok-gun community, which is suffering from the forest fire damage.”
