서산시의회 조동식 의장이 저출산·고령화 문제에 대한 사회적 인식 개선을 위한 릴레이 캠페인에 뜻을 보탰다.
조 의장은 5일, 사회관계망서비스(SNS)를 통해 인구문제 해결 메시지가 담긴 피켓을 든 인증 사진을 게시하며 ‘인구문제 인식개선 릴레이 캠페인’ 참여 사실을 밝혔다.
이 캠페인은 보건복지부와 한국보건복지인재원이 공동 주관해 인구구조 변화에 대한 국민적 공감대 형성과 관심 제고를 목적으로 전국적으로 확산 중이다.
조 의장은 “인구 감소는 단순한 수치 문제가 아니라 지역의 지속가능성을 위협하는 심각한 구조적 위기”라며 “지역사회가 함께 해법을 찾아야 하며, 서산시의회도 이에 적극적으로 나서겠다”고 강조했다.
조 의장은 다음 주자로 서산시 가족센터 류순희 센터장을 지목하며 캠페인의 의미를 이어갔다.
