세종충남대학교병원(원장 권계철)이 위탁 운영하는 세종광역정신건강복지센터는 지난 4일, LH세종권주거복지지사(지사장 최계영)와 생명존중 문화 확산 협력체계 구축을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 5일 밝혔다.
양 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 '세종시 관내 생명존중 안심마을 확산', '정신건강 고위험군 발굴 및 조기 개입', '정신건강 인식개선 및 생명존중 문화확산을 위한 교육 및 홍보', '캠페인 및 상담 지원 활동' 등 다각적인 협력 사업을 추진할 계획이다.
현재 LH세종권주거복지지사는 세종지역 26개 단지 약 1만 3천여 세대를 대상으로 주거복지 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 특히 주거 취약계층의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 전개하고 있는 가운데, 이번 협약을 통해 정신건강 영역까지 지원 범위를 확대하게 됐다.
최계영 LH세종권주거복지지사장은 "이번 협약을 계기로 정신건강 사각지대에 있는 입주민들이 더 체계적인 지원을 받을 수 있기를 기대한다”며 “앞으로 주거복지와 정신건강이 연계된 통합 돌봄 체계를 확대해 나가겠다”고 강조했다.
세종광역정신건강복지센터 관계자는 "정신건강은 모두의 문제로 특히 주거 취약계층에 대한 세심한 접근이 필요하다”며 “이번 협약을 계기로 더 촘촘한 지역사회 정신건강 안전망을 구축해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
