충남 금산군이 기후변화와 농촌 고령화에 따른 농업 대응 전략으로 벼 직파재배 기술 보급에 속도를 내고 있다.
군은 지난 4일 금성면 파초리 일대에서 ‘벼 직파재배 기술 연시회’를 열고, 쌀 생산비 절감 및 생력화를 위한 현장 중심의 기술 시연을 진행했다.
이번 연시회는 금산군식량작물연구회원과 직파재배를 실천 중인 농업인 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데, 무논점파 방식의 직파 시연과 드론을 활용한 병해충 방제 시연이 이어졌다.
농업인들은 논 한가운데서 실연 과정을 지켜보며 현장감 있게 직파기술을 접하고, 농가 적용 가능성에 대한 의견도 나눴다.
특히 행사장에는 직파재배 관련 홍보 화판과 함께 충남도 주요 볍씨 품종 전시 부스가 마련돼 기술 이해를 돕는 데 힘을 보탰다. 군은 이번 연시회를 계기로 직파재배의 현장 적응성을 높이고, 기술 확산을 위한 실질적 기반을 마련하겠다는 계획이다.
벼 직파재배는 육묘와 이앙 과정을 생략하고, 드론이나 파종기를 활용해 볍씨를 직접 논에 뿌리는 재배 방식이다. 투입되는 노동력과 경작 비용이 대폭 줄어드는 것이 가장 큰 장점이다.
