[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 거제시는 9일부터 7월 11일까지 거제시농업기술센터 인근에 조성한 ‘옥수수 미로정원’을 시민과 관광객에게 개방한다고 밝혔다.

이번 옥수수 미로정원은 약 1,306㎡ 규모로, 지난 2월부터 옥수수 종자 8,000립을 파종해 정성껏 조성한 공간이다. 

관람객들은 자유롭게 관람할 수 있으며, 도심 속에서 경험하기 어려운 농촌의 매력을 느낄 수 있다.

주차는 거제시농업기술센터 내 4동 먹거리통합지원센터 앞 주차장을 이용하면 된다.

옥치덕 거제시농업기술센터 소장은 “거제 농업의 산실인 농업개발원과 거제 대표 관광지인 거제식물원 인근의 유휴부지를 활용해 이번 옥수수 미로정원을 만들었다”며, “방문객들이 색다른 즐거움과 소중한 추억을 가져가길 바라며, 앞으로도 볼거리와 즐길거리가 가득한 공간으로 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 전했다.
