(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시 상수도사업본부가 오는 6월 17일부터 20일까지 3일간 남동정수장의 정수지 유입밸브 교체공사 및 흡수정 청소를 위해정수장 가동을 일시 중단하나, 단계별 수계전환을 통해 시민에게 수돗물을 정상 공급할 예정이라고 밝혔다.
상수도사업본부에 따르면, 가동 중단 시간은 6월 17일 오전 10시부터 20일 오전 10시까지이며, 남동정수장에서 수돗물을 공급받는 남동구, 동구, 부평구 및 서구 일부 지역의 안정적인 급수 유지를 위해 인접한 정수장에서 물 흐름을 바꿔 공급 체계를 전환하는 수계전환 방식을 통해 부평·공촌·수산정수장에서 대체 급수를 실시한다.
남동정수장은 현재 남동구, 동구, 부평구 일부(십정동, 부평2·3·6동, 부개1동, 일신동), 서구 일부(가좌동, 가정동, 신현동, 원창동)에 수돗물을 공급하고 있다.
이번 가동 중단은 정수지 유입밸브 노후화로 인한 교체와 흡수정의 위생 강화를 위한 청소작업에 따른 것이다.
이에 따라 상수도사업본부는 단계별 수계전환을 실시해 부평·공촌·수산정수장에서 수돗물을 대체 공급하고, 배수지 최고 수위를 확보하는 등 시민 불편을 최소화할 방침이다.
수계 전환은 2단계로 나누어 시행된다.
1단계는 6월 16일부터 20일까지 동구, 부평구 일부(십정1동), 서구 일부 지역에서 실시되며, 2단계는 6월 17일부터 20일까지 미추홀구 일부(문학동, 관교동, 주안4·8동), 연수구, 남동구, 부평구 일부(십정2동, 부평2·3·6동, 부개1동, 일신동)가 영향을 받게 된다.
