[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 11일 삼방동 주민 200여 명이 참석한 가운데 삼방공원 공영주차장 조성사업 준공식을 개최했다.
시는 공원 이용객 편의와 인근 주차난 해소를 위해 123억원(도비 48억원, 시비 75억원)을 투입, 지난 2023년 6월 착공해 지하 2층 규모에 98대 주차공간을 확보했다. 또 주차장 건물 상부에는 녹지공간과 쉼터를 조성해 공원 본래 기능을 강화했다.
이처럼 삼안동 주민의 오랜 숙원사업의 성사로 시민들에게 쾌적한 주차, 휴식 공간을 제공할 수 있게 됐다. 시는 6~7월 무료 시범 운영을 거쳐 8월부터 유료로 운영할 계획이다.
시는 이번 사업으로 인근 주차난 해소는 물론 주거환경 개선, 지역상권 활성화, 동서 균형 발전 효과를 기대하고 있다. 이와 함께 시는 내년 삼방동과 인접한 지내동에 36대 규모 공영주차장 조성을 추진해 동부권역 주차난 해소에 기여할 계획이다.
