또한, 매뉴얼에는 공용주방과 세탁실 사용법, 인근 편의시설 위치 및 이용 안내, 대중교통 정보 등 체류 작가들이 자주 마주하게 되는 생활 정보를 중심으로 구성돼 있다.
특히, 문화적 차이에서 비롯되는 초기 적응 문제를 최소화할 수 있도록 생활 밀착형 조언도 포함됐다.
이 가이드는 올해부터 부천레지던시에 참여하는 모든 해외 작가에게 제공되며, 체류 적응을 돕고 안정적인 창작 활동을 지원하는 데 활용될 예정이다.
