홍성군, 공중화장실 40곳 ‘불법촬영·비상벨’ 집중 점검

충남 홍성군이 공공장소 내 범죄 예방과 군민 안전 강화를 위해 지역 내 공중화장실 40곳을 대상으로 불법촬영기기 및 비상벨 작동 여부에 대한 합동 점검을 실시하고 있다.

13일 군에 따르면 이번 점검은 홍성군 환경과, 가정행복과, 홍성경찰서 여성청소년과가 함께 참여해 지난 10일부터 18일까지 약 일주일간 진행된다. 대상은 유동인구가 많은 전통시장, 관광명소, 공원 등 다중이용시설에 설치된 화장실로, 불특정 다수가 이용하는 만큼 범죄 노출 우려가 높은 곳들이다.

현장 점검에는 전파탐지기와 렌즈 탐지기 등 정밀 장비가 동원됐다. 특히 나사 구멍, 벽 틈, 천장 모서리, 쓰레기통 내부 등 몰래카메라 설치가 쉬운 사각지대에 초점을 맞춰 점검이 이뤄졌다.

군은 점검의 실효성을 높이기 위해 군민들이 직접 몰래카메라를 확인할 수 있는 ‘몰가드’도 주요 화장실에 배치하기로 했다. 몰가드는 스마트폰의 후면 카메라를 활용해 특정 각도에서 렌즈의 반사광을 감지하는 방식으로, 간편하게 불법촬영 장비를 확인할 수 있는 휴대용 탐지 도구다.

이와 함께 공중화장실에 설치된 비상벨의 정상 작동 여부도 함께 확인 중이다. 점검 결과 이상이 발견된 장비는 즉시 교체하거나 수리를 진행해 군민의 안전 확보에 차질이 없도록 한다는 방침이다.

홍성군 관계자는 “공중화장실에서 발생할 수 있는 범죄행위 및 위기상황에 대응하기 위해 이번 합동점검을 지속해 나갈 예정”이라며 “안전한 공중화장실을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
