한국자유총연맹 고양시지회가 호국보훈의 달을 맞아 개최한 '시민역량강화 포럼'이 자유민주주의 가치 수호와 안보의식 제고를 위한 의미있는 성과를 거두며 막을 내렸다.
지난 6월 12일부터 13일까지 강원도 양양 일원에서 진행된 이번 포럼은 급변하는 안보환경 속에서 시민사회의 역할과 책임을 재정립하는 중요한 계기가 되었다.
우영택 지회장을 비롯해 조직 간부 70여 명이 참석한 가운데, 단순한 이론적 접근을 넘어 실천적 안보의식 함양에 중점을 둔 프로그램으로 구성되었다.

특히 서욱 전 국방부장관의 특강은 참석자들에게 깊은 인상을 남겼다.
