충남 청양군을 기반으로 활동하는 전문 뮤지컬 단체 초이스뮤지컬컴퍼니(공동대표 최인양·장현아)가 문화체육관광부 산하 한국문화예술위원회의 ‘2025년 지역도약예술지원사업’에 최종 선정되며, 지역 문화예술계의 새로운 도약을 알렸다.
‘지역도약예술지원사업’은 올해부터 새롭게 시행되는 국가지원사업으로, 수도권에 비해 상대적으로 기회가 적은 비수도권 예술인의 창작과 협업 활동을 장려하기 위해 마련됐다. 예술적 다양성 확대와 국민의 문화 향유권 강화를 목표로 하고 있으며, 한국문화예술위원회가 주관하고 광역문화재단이 참여하는 방식으로 운영된다.
