서산시, 중부권 동서횡단철도 국가계획 반영 촉구 릴레이 성료

충남 서산시가 올해 하반기 고시 예정인 제5차 국가철도망 구축계획에 중부권 동서횡단철도 신규사업 반영을 위해 12개 시군과 힘을 합쳤다. 지난 4월 30일 이완섭 서산시장을 시작으로 한 중부권 동서횡단철도 국가계획 반영 촉구 인증 릴레이가 5월 30일 손병복 울진군수를 마지막으로 성공적으로 마무리됐다.

이번 촉구 릴레이에는 서산시를 비롯해 당진시, 예산군, 아산시, 천안시, 청주시, 증평군, 괴산군, 문경시, 예천군, 영주시, 봉화군, 울진군 등 총 13개 시군 지자체장이 참여했다. 참여 지자체들은 중부권 동서횡단철도 건설의 필요성을 강조하며 국민적 관심을 촉구했다.
